If a credit card fails to process, this is usually due to 1 of 4 scenarios. We are unable to override the processing system, as it is in place for security purposes.

  1. The card was declined due to insufficient funds or another problem with the card.
  2. Card information was entered incorrectly. For example, the credit card number or the CVV code is incorrect.
  3. AVS (Address Verification Settings) declined due to mismatched billing information entered. The street address & 5-digit zip code must match. If these items are entered incorrectly, the card will be declined.
  4. Recheck your VBO Box Office account and confirm all address fields for billing are correct. (i.e. the zip code is in the Zip Code field, the state is in the State Field, etc.)
  5. Be sure to clear your computer cache before attempting a new order after experiencing issues and making corrections.
  6. There is a problem with the gateway or VBO. When this happens, ALL Box Office transactions will fail and the error is repeatable, however, at this time, the Box Office is operating and recording sales.
If you continue to experience these issues, we suggest contacting your credit company for assistant or attempt a new order with a different card or ordering with a friend.
Give the gift of entertainment with a Mount Hope events' admission gift certificate, redeemable for all admission tickets through the Box Office System. You select the value. Send them to family and friends for all occasions. Please visit the Virtual Box Office and choose the "Merchandise" tab in the navigation to view and purchase avaiable gift certificates.
Each event has a limited number of tickets per date/time and they may sell out. Admission is available on a first come, first serve basis.
A Subscription includes 1 ticket for each individual within the single order subscription to each of the public Faire dates. Adult subscription codes will only access adult Faire reservation tickets. Child subscription codes will only access child Faire reservation tickets. The purchased Subscription Code must be used by the holder to obtain each Faire day's ticket(s). Subscriptions have replaced passes previously called "Season Passes".

If you wish to purchase a subscription as a gift or for someone under a different household who will be attending the Faire separately, use the "Gift As a Gift" option at the beginning of the Subscription purchase process. Do not purchase subscriptions for another household under a single subscription unless you will be obtaining all the tickets for your subscription group. Use the "Give Gift Option" to purchase any gift subscriptions to provide the necessary Subscription Code to the gift recipient.

Example: Jane wants to buy a Subscription for herself and her husband, Jack AND a Subscription for her sister, Mary and her husband, Joe. To get her own subscription code, Jane would purchase an Adult Subscription with the quantity of "2" and purchase a Gift Subscription for her sister with a quantity of "2". Jane will then use her subscription code to obtain her tickets for herself and Jack and Mary will receive her own unique subscription code to obtain tickets for herself and Joe.

When purchasing your subscription, the names of the individuals authorized to use the tickets associated with the subscription must be entered. When the date-specific tickets obtained with the subscription code are scanned at the gate, a pop-up will appear on our staff’s scanners showing the applicable names for the subscription and requesting an ID check. Tickets are non-transferable to other individuals. Adults must show photo ID with admission ticket for entry. Children do not require an ID.

Step 1: Purchase a Faire Subscription:
To the Box Office at: Virtual Box Office | Mount Hope Estate (parenfaire.com)
Click "Purchase" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
Click Subscriptions in the upper left-hand corner of the screen

Step 2: Obtain Your Faire Tickets With Subscription Code:
Enter the Box Office at www.parenfaire.com/buytickets.html
Click on "Purchase" at the top toward the right.
Click on the green "Order Now" button to the right of the Faire event.
Click "Enter Subscription Code" in the upper right-hand corner of the screen
Enter your Subscription Code and click "Submit
Click on the correct date/time block(s) at the top to select.
Select the number of tickets under "QTY"
Click the green "Order Now" button
Follow the screen prompts to continue.
We have a "safeguard" built into our system to be able to accommodate subscription holders' date-specific tickets requests.

Patrons who purchase a Faire subscription receive a subscription code that they will use to obtain reservation tickets online for the date specific days of the current Faire season. Faire reservation tickets must be presented at the gate as a printed copy or on a mobile device with an ID to enter the Fairegrounds.

It is the responsibility of the Subscription Holder to obtain their own date-specific Faire tickets in advance of the actual Faire date. Should a Subscription Holder fail to obtain the date specific tickets prior to a date's sellout, the Subscriber must go to the Customer Service Window at the Front Gate with their Subscription Code the day-of for entry assistance.
Sunset Tickets are only available during the Celtic Fling and the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and allow guests to enjoy the final hours of the festivities at a discounted rate.

Regardless of the full day ticket sold out status, Sunset Tickets go live on the Virtual Box Office at the following designated times:
• Celtic Fling: Sales begin at 3:45PM/ Entry at 4:30PM.

Sunset Ticket quantities are limited per day. Tickets must be purchased online on the Virtual Box Office and can be shown from a mobile device the day of your visit for entry. No gate sales.

Tickets are non-refundable. Children under 5 are admitted free and do not require a ticket.

Dining

No outside food, beverages (with the exception of one factory sealed bottle of water per person which can be refilled at the water fountains next to Informistress and the Privy Lane Privies) or coolers are permitted to be brought onto the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. Note: When guests have their hand stamped at the front gate and leave the Fairegrounds, ALL water bottles and drinking vessels must be empty, or factory sealed for re-entry to the Fairegrounds.

The site does not have separate allergy-friendly kitchens and is unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens. Our menu items are reliant on supplier ingredient labels, and we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the contents of each food item. Allergen advisory statements (e.g., “may contain") are not regulated. It is ultimately up to the individual's discretion to make an informed choice based upon their individual dietary needs.

Guests to the Fairegrounds may also have their hand stamped at the front gate to return to their vehicle and return to the fairegrounds as they wish.

Click here to download the Visitor Allergen Card.
