IT’S THE FINAL WEEKEND AT THE PENNSYLVANIA RENAISSANCE FAIRE
October 31 & November 1, 2009

Join Queen Elizabeth for one final weekend of frights, knights and Halloween delights as the 29th season of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire comes to a close!

WHEN:

Saturday and Sunday, October 31 & November 1, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.


WHERE :

The Royal grounds of Mount Hope Estate and Winery, Lancaster County, Rt. 72, ½ mile south of PA Turnpike Exit 266

WHY: The haunts are back as the Shire of Mount Hope celebrates All Hallow’s Eve
THREE FAIRE FIRSTS THIS WEEKEND ONLY
Adam - Crack – Whip cracker extraordinaire and holder of seven Guinness World Records including the record for the longest whip ever cracked (216 feet long), Adam Winrich will perform his sophisticated, high-energy whip cracking routine for the first time at the Faire and the east coast. Wicked Tinkers – Prepare yourself for a wild ride as the pioneers of the growing Tribal Celtic movement bring their hauntingly, heart-pounding bagpipes and irresistible tribal drums to the Faire for the first time. Daniel Duke of Danger – Ringling Bros. Clown College graduate and former student at the world-renown Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, Dan Looker will entertain Fairegoers for the first time with his own brand of physical comedy and ill-advised acrobatics.
FOR THE KIDS
Mask Decorating – Children can make their very own mask to help them join in the spooky celebrations. Bobbin' For Apples – Visitors of all ages are invited to bob for apples without using their hands. Trick or Treating in the Shire – Little lords and ladies can pick up a Trick-or-Treat bag and map and travel through the Shire, earning sweet treats along the way! Cookie Decoration – Knipperkins can make their own delicious Halloween desserts with Jacko- Lantern cookies and icing. Children's Halloween Costume Extravaganza – Children of all ages are invited to show off their costumes before Queen Elizabeth and her court.
Admission is free for fully-costumed children, ages 5 to 11, with the purchase of a full-paying adult admission at the Castle Gates during Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights weekend, the final weekend of the season. No coupon necessary.

Shire youth romp about the Fairgrounds collecting sweet
treats and fun goodies, at no additional charge, from 2 to 4
p.m. during Trick or Treating in the Shire. Trick or Treating is
just one of the many activities happening during the
Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights weekends at the
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, October 17 & 18, 24 &
25, and October 31 and November 1.

Children, ages 11 and under who come to the Shire in their
most creative Halloween costumes, are granted free
admission to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire’s
Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights weekends, October 17
& 18, 24 & 25 and October 31 and November 1. Offer valid for one child per one full‐paid adult admission purhcased at the Castle Gates. Children are welcome to show off their costumes to Queen Elizabeth Herself in the Children’s Costume Extravaganza.

A 30‐feet tall scarecrow comprised of a metal frame, lights,
and 2 truckloads of ornamental grasses and corn husks
greets visitors to the grounds at the Pennsylvania
Renaissance Faire for this year’s Halloween Daze and
Spooky Knights weekend October 17 & 18, 24 & 25 and October 31 and November 1.

Join Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, as She celebrates All
Hallows Eve with family friendly activities and a 35 acre
Halloween playground that comes to life with the spirits of
Halloween. Children can participate in craft projects, trickor‐
treating, bobbing for apples and much more at the
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire’s Halloween Daze and
Spooky Knights weekends, October 17 & 18, 24 & 25 and October 31 and November 1.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire celebrates the ancient
holiday of All Hallows Eve with two frightfully fantastic
weekends filled with family festivities available in a 16th
Renaissance Village of Yore decorated from corner to
corner with pumpkins, corn husks, mums and more. Enjoy
this year’s Halloween Daze and Spooky Knights weekends
October 17 & 18, 24 & 25 and October 31 and November 1.
