Mount Hope Mansion in Lancaster County was built in 1800 as a grand rural retreat for four continuous generations of the wealthy colonial American ironmaster Grubb family. Renovated and enlarged at the height of the Victorian Era, it is a simply delightful estate, particularly during the holiday season when she is dressed in her holiday finery. Please Note: The mansion is set for the annual interactive dinner theater performance of Holidays at Mount Hope.
In a multiple day decorating extravaganza, Mount Hope Mansion is transformed inside and out into a seasonal wonderland. Beginning with the wreath hung over the golden knocker on the front door and throughout the first floor, the decorations echo the classic elegance and colorful sophistication of the Victorian era. Boughs of evergreens topped with velvet ribbons are strung from floor to ceiling and throughout the halls. Gigantic Victorian displays adorn the many mantles, while glowing candles twinkle in every window and throughout the outside grounds surrounding the Mansion. Opulent Christmas trees, the largest of which stands at an impressive 15 feet, are bedecked with the theme "L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz."

Join Daisy Grubb (Jennifer Espenshade) for traditional Holiday merrymaking after visiting the festively decorated rooms of Mount Hope Mansion. The cast of the Holiday Dinner Theater will lead guests in Carols and Games in the Mansion's Chapel at Noon, 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. You don't want to miss this interactive event that is sure to put you in the Holiday spirit!
Seasons is comprised of the siblings Mary-Kate Spring, Peter Winter, Mary-Teresa Summer, Mary-Grace Autumn, and Mary-Clare Chun Lee. The Lee siblings seek to not only pay homage to the rich tradition of Celtic and American folk music that they grew up in, but also to treat it as a living, breathing entity. The result is a constantly growing collection of original songs and tunes that are all at once both fresh and familiar. Join us inside the Anchor & Mermaid Tavern, adjacent to Mount Hope Mansion on the grounds of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, to enjoy a meal during the annual Holidays at Mount Hope. Great food and refreshing wines, beers and ciders, makes the Anchor & Mermaid Tavern the best place to ring in the holiday season! Open 11AM to 4PM during the Holiday Open House.
The Taproom at the Barn & Barrel, nestled between the brewery and winery, is the perfect place to enjoy craft beverages produced on the grounds of Mount Hope Estate & Winery. Award-winning Swashbuckler Brewing Company beers and Mount Hope Wines are on tap to enjoy by the glass and in flights. Treat your taste buds to a juicy glass of Lancaster County Cider or a creative craft cocktail made with small batch spirits produced by Spirits Distillery, Inc. Join us at the Taproom at the Barn & Barrel and, together, we’ll craft some memories.

The Merchant Marketplace can be found, free from outside elements, inside the first floor of the Barn & Barrel, home to Mount Hope Winery. Guests are invited to shop with a variety of merchants featuring handcrafted holiday wares and other items perfect for the gift-giving season. Also in the Marketplace, children are invited to whisper their Holiday wishes to Father Christmas and receive a gift from his helpers.
