A Scottish Fling

September 20-21 • Weekend 7

A Tartan Terror Bagpiper You take the high road and I'll take the low road, and your kilt will get there afore ye! Bonnie lasses and kilt-clad boyos share the Celtic pride with bagpipe bands. Celebrate Scottish heritage as we salute all that is Scottish. Highland games competitions, highland dancing, haggis-eating contests, Scottish music, foods and wares and more!

  1. Don Juan & Miguel: Adventurous! Enthralling! Romantic! This fiery trio, Don Juan, the mysterious son of the King and Queen of Spain, his loyal manservant Miguel as well as Esmeralda the daughter of Don Juan, charm an entire Shire while engaging in the finest sword and whip work ever seen, and humor, even more "cutting."

  2. The Tartan Terrors: These Canadian lads and lassies will have you begging for more with their quick comedy and even quicker feet. Their music, comedy and dance show defies description and certainly brings new meaning to the dance known as the "Highland Fling." It will also leave no doubt that, while England is prim and proper, "Scotland's Depraved."

  3. Highland Games with Master Terry McFadden: Volunteers are encouraged to join Terry McFadden in the Highland Games Competitions including the ever popular Caber Toss, Sheaf Toss, and Tug of War! Champions will be rewarded with most wondrous Faire and Mount Hope prizes!

  4. Haggis Eating Contest: Feeling the urge to experience a mixture of minced heart, lungs, and liver of a sheep or calf mixed with suet, onions, oatmeal, and seasonings and bodied in the actual stomach of sheep? Well here is your chance. Twelve pre-registered contestants are invited to enter and well deserved Mount Hope Prizes are up for the taking!

  5. Men in Kilts Competition: Looney Lucy & Ploppy are back and this time judging their two favorite pastimes, men AND the kilts they sport! Great prizes in store and who knows what else...
