Lead singer David Burney brings a lilting southern baritone to Cash's classic songs which hits the mark well enough that you will wonder if Johnny, himself, is in the building. David Gresham more than meets the challenge of filling in for Luther and Carl Perkins on those classic guitar licks. And Steve Eisenstadt (bass) and Randy Benefield (drums) provide the hallmark, train-like driving rhythm the whole world loves.True to the Mr Cash's poetic spirit, JF4 promises an honest and entertaining performance for fans of all ages.
When it comes to honoring Johnny Cash, JF4 walks the line.
One doesn't typically think of Irvington, New Jersey as a source for roots songwriters. But when your Daddy raised you on a steady diet of Hank Williams records along with various swing and blues artists of the time, and your Mama played steel guitar, it gets in your blood fast. Miss Laurie Ann started writing songs at an early age and has developed an extensive collection of tight, well-crafted songs that tell stories of love, come and gone. Much in the tradition of The Blasters and The Paladins, her musical style is "American Music", combining elements of traditional country, rockabilly, and 50's rhythm & blues.
The current band lineup features Rockabilly Hall of Fame member Quentin Jones on guitar. Quentin has been featured in Guitar Player magazine and is sponsored by Gretsch Guitars. In addition, we have Ralph Leon Miller on piano, accordion and fiddle, Pat Redding on bass and Steve Brown on drums.
