Uncork a Weekend of Frivolity and Fun!
IT’S WINE HARVEST WEEKEND AT THE PENNSYLVANIA RENAISSANCE FAIRE! October 10 & 11, 2009
WHO:	The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
WHAT:	The Shire celebrates its annual Wine Harvest with competitions, wine tastings and grapes galore! Come “wine and dine” at the 29th annual Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire!
WHEN:	Saturday and Sunday, October 10 & 11, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
WHERE :	The Royal grounds of Mount Hope Estate and Winery, Lancaster County, Rt. 72, ½ mile south of PA Turnpike Exit 266
WHY:	So patrons can enjoy the “full-bodied” experience the Faire has to offer!
The Faire continues its 12 weekend run complete with 90 stage shows, scores of artisans, 22 Royal Kitchens, award winning wines sampled daily, widely acclaimed ales and lagers brewed on-site and the following additional entertainments!
THIS WEEKEND ONLY
Grape Stomp Competition – Fantastic prizes are available for those who can stomp and squish the most juice out of their barrel of grapes! Dizzy Grape Toss Challenge – Anyone can toss a grape, but those who can do it while dizzy will win wondrous prizes! The Wine Harvest Barrel Roll – Teams of two are invited to compete for the honor of being the Shire’s best barrel-pushers!
BUT THERE’S MORE!
Coyote Run – In performances that promise to be both heart-stopping and foot-stomping, Coyote Run engages their listeners with musical storytelling. Albannach – A Faire favorite, this group of Scottish drummers and pipers will leave you on the edge of your seat with their high-energy performance. Aerial Angels – This group of high-flying circus performers astound and amaze their audiences with acrobatics, fire-eating and contortion with a little bit of comedy thrown in.
