Description:
Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is looking to expand our Food and Beverage Team, the Faire opens August 16th and runs till October 26th.

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding job in a medieval-themed environment? Do you have excellent customer service and cash handling skills? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for a cashier position at the Renaissance Faire!

As a cashier, you will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, taking payments, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to wear a costume that matches the Renaissance Faire theme and to interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

Job Duties:
  • Greeting guests and taking Food & Beverage orders while communicating with other team members within the employee’s scheduled location
  • Preparing and serving Food & Beverage items to guests
  • Ring in and properly tender orders into a register
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and sweeping/mopping work areas to include food prep areas, other food contact surfaces, patio/condiment areas, and floors/walkways.
  • Storing and rotating stock and food items within assigned work locations
  • Performing opening and closing procedures related to the assigned Food & Beverage location and as directed by shift supervisors.
  • Preparing food items in accordance with Local Food and Health regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be able to work at least 2 weekends in September and 3 weekends in October
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, and holidays. Additional weekend hours may be available during June, November, and December.
  • Must be at least 14 years of age or older on the date of applying.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work for your scheduled shifts.
  • Willing to wear a costume (provided)
Working Conditions:
  • Physical requirements include standing (for periods up to 5 hours at a time), walking, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds without assistance
  • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to: extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non-skid/nonslip sneaker)

Description:
This is a costumed position. The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will provide costume, Employee Handbook, and training. Employee must provide his/her own period-style footwear to be approved by the Costume Department.

Duties:
  • Welcoming our patrons to the Faire! Those assigned this position will set the stage for the day. Politeness, smiles, greetings and salutations are required.
  • Collect admission tickets at gate to grant patrons entry to park. Knowledge of acceptable forms of admission is required
  • Collecting eTickets pre-purchased and printed by patrons, scanning ticket to confirm admittance to Faire. Also scanning and returning Season Passes to patrons.
  • Must be able to operate scanner and be responsible for equipment—including, but not limited to cleaning, opening and closing procedures and general machine operating functions
  • Distribution of festival program and daily schedule/map to all patrons
  • Promoting and maintaining a positive, professional image for the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
  • Hand-stamping patrons to return as they are leaving, if they wish to return later in the day
  • Providing general information to patrons (i.e. bathrooms, locations of food or shows, etc.)
Qualifications:
  • Must possess ability to be customer-service oriented, friendly and motivated, to provide necessary information and assistance to our valued patrons
  • Have steady transportation
  • Friendly and able to work well with others
  • Meet company grooming standards
Working Conditions:
  • Requires working mostly outdoors in all weather conditions

Description:
Front gate security is responsible for getting our patrons in the gate safety, and aiding in crowd control upon Gate Opening. This is a non-costumed position. The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will provide a uniform shirt and Employee manual. This is a seasonal part-time position.

Dutiues:
  • Report hazardous conditions, help lost children and keep general order among patrons.
  • Notify armed security when conditions are beyond control.
  • Provide friendly and quality customer service to our patrons by answering and offering suggestions.
  • Check weapons to ensure they are "peace-tied" and check IDs for age for alcohol purchases inside the park.
  • Provide and maintain a positive, professional image.
  • Handle minor customer complaints with understanding.
  • Hand-stamping patrons to return as they are leaving, if they wish to return later in the day
  • Bag checks upon entering Faire Grounds.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess an ability to be assertive in their duties.
  • Must possess ability to be customer-service oriented, friendly and motivated to provide necessary information and assistance to our valued patrons.

  • Friendly and able to work well with others in fast-paced environment.
  • Meet company grooming standards.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will run every weekend and select school days from August 16th - October 26th.

This is a costumed position. The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire will provide costume and Employee Handbook. Employee must provide his/her own period-style footwear to be approved by Costume Dept. This is a seasonal, part time position. $15hr to start + tips.

  • Keep work area clean and orderly by restocking and maintaining daily inventory, sweeping, cleaning countertops, etc.
  • Handling minor customer complaints with understanding.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:
  • Requires working mostly indoors in extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Able to work around bees.
  • Requires standing, lifting, and bending.

Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is looking for Grounds Retail Associates for our upcoming Faire season!

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding job in a medieval setting? Do you have a flair for costumes?

As a retail cashier, you will be responsible for greeting customers, ringing up their purchases, handling cash and credit transactions, and providing excellent service. You will also be expected to dress in period-appropriate attire and speak in a friendly and courteous manner. You will be part of a team of enthusiastic and dedicated staff who create a memorable experience for our guests.
